The name Mama Moon Midwifery was born out of the recognition that a “moon” is a time for intimate celebration. The “Honeymoon Phase” is the celebration of love, the “Babymoon Phase” is the celebration of a new baby, and the “Mamamoon Phase” is when we celebrate the time in between, when the person carrying the baby in the womb is cared for with honor, respect, and encouragement. At Mama Moon Midwifery, we believe that any birthing person, regardless of identifying as a mother, should be held to the same standards of celebration.

Mama Moon Midwifery is a specialized home birth practice focused on individualized midwife care in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. Prenatal appointments are held in two office locations, in Milwaukee and Wales Wisconsin. Supporting birth at home is our mission, knowing that home is the most comfortable place to be, and where people feel safest. Postpartum and newborn care happens in the home as well, maintaining the peaceful and gentle welcoming to life outside the womb for each and every client and baby. Consultation appointments are free, and offers the opportunity to sit down face to face with the midwife to get all questions answered about having a home birth.
